Unknown person uses resident’s information to buy cellphones, smartwatch and tablet – Chicago Tribune

The following items were taken from area police department reports and news releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Alcohol

Tishara Ragland, 19, of the 6400 block of Emerald Court, Willowbrook, was charged with zero tolerance (for alcohol) under age 21, possession of a fictitious driver’s license, possession of cannabis by a driver, illegal transport of open alcohol, speeding and driving without insurance at 12:19 a.m. May 17.

Burglary

An unknown suspect reportedly took tools from a vehicle in a lot at Elmhurst Hospital and removed the rear license plate between 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. May 11.

Criminal damage to property

A display screen above an elevator in the Addison parking deck, 149 N. Addison Ave., was reported damaged overnight between May 11 and May 12.

An unknown suspect damaged a front window of a residence in the 200 block of East Madison Street between May 1 and May 12.

An unknown person entered an unlocked and unoccupied commercial rental space in The Marke, 100 N. Addison Ave., and threw furniture around, broke a television and other items and threw black paint on the walls and floor between April 28 and May 16.

Also at The Marke, an outside door was found ajar and a mirror was smashed on the floor of a commercial space, apparently done overnight between May 16 and May 17.

Drugs

Christopher Diego, 22, of the first block of Medill Avenue, Northlake, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and possession of cannabis by a driver at 7:05 p.m. May 12.

Barbara Schroeder, 45, of the 1100 block of South Washington Boulevard, Lombard, was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance at 10:52 p.m. May 12.

In the same incident, Klaire Kobernus, 45, of the 1S200 block of Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park, was cited for illegal transport of alcohol.

Corey Clayborn, 26, of the 6600 block of Park Heights, Baltimore, Md., was cited for possession of cannabis at 4:10 p.m. May 13.

Miguel Ordaz-Arreola, 24, of the 1700 block of North 40th Avenue, Stone Park, was cited for possession of cannabis and driving with illegally tinted windows at 7:29 p.m. May 13.

Isaac Figueroa, 18, of the 1900 block of North 19th Avenue, Melrose Park, was cited for speeding and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 11:05 p.m. May 13.

Isaiah De La Cruz, 25, of the 400 block of Addison Street, Elgin, was charged with having open alcohol in a vehicle and possession of cannabis by a driver at 12:56 a.m. May 14.

Jonathon Polk, 28, of the 200 block of Elgin Avenue, Forest Park, was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and for driving without insurance at 6:41 a.m. May 15.

DUI

Ramon Rodriguez, 41, of the 17W100 block of Oak Lane, Bensenville, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of open alcohol by a driver and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 7:37 p.m. May 12.

Jonathan Hernandez, 20, of the 7600 block of Norridge Street, Harwood Heights, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lighting, improper lane use and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor at 11:04 p.m. May 14.

Identity theft

A resident reported an unknown suspect bought three cellphones, an Apple Watch and an iPad at an AT&T store in Chicago on April 18 without authorization.

A resident reported an unknown suspect used her credit card information to make several fraudulent charges between April 26 and May 9.

A resident reported May 14 receiving a credit card and a debit card by mail without applying for either. The resident didn’t activate either card and froze credit with reporting agencies.

Theft

A woman with a small child reportedly took an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen, 143 N. York St., at 5:40 p.m. May 13 and left the store walking north on York.

An unsecured blue Trax mountain bike was reported taken from where it was left near Panera Bread, 108 E. North Ave., between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. May 14.

Rashad Oliver, 33, of the first block of North Park Avenue, Lombard, was charged with retail theft after allegedly taking a bottle of liquor from CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave., at 3:33 a.m. May 15.

After a woman reported losing her wallet in Jewel Osco, 153 E. Schiller St., around 1 p.m. May 15, an unknown offended attempted to use her credit card at two locations in Addison.

License plates were reported stolen from a privately owned vehicle parked at Napleton Kia, 727 W. Grand Ave., between May 9 and May 16.

A catalytic converter was reported taken from a vehicle parked overnight in a lot in the 200 block of West Brush Hill Road between May 16 and May 17. Police found a Sawzall blade at the scene.

A catalytic converter was stolen from a white Chevy Express van parked on the south side of Timothy Christian School, 1061 S. Prospect Ave., as reported on May 17.

Two Chicagoans, Laquann King, 26, of the 100 block of North Waller Avenue, and Kianna McWilliams, 23, of the 4100 block of West Taylor Street, were both charged with retail theft of liquor from Williams Liquors, 925 S. York St., at 2:39 p.m. May 18.

McWilliams was also charged with obstructing identification.

Traffic violations

Quintana Harris, 33, of the 4000 block of Quincy Court, Streamwood, was cited for failing to yield while turning and driving without valid registration at 5:47 p.m. May 12.

Gerardo Lugo, 30, of the 400 block of East 167th Street, Harvey, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving without insurance and failure to wear a seat belt at 6:20 a.m. May 13.

Exequias Lopez-Garcia, 19, of the 1000 block of South York Road, Bensenville, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, driving without insurance, illegally tinted windows and excessively loud muffler at 7:45 p.m. May 15.

Xavier Alvarez-Rivera, 22, of the 200 block of Station Drive, Wood Dale, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and improper lane use at 12:58 a.m. May 16.

Ulyses Trevino, 19, of the 6200 block of South Washtenaw Avenue, Chicago, was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license at 4:26 p.m. May 16.

Murl Williams, 27, of the 1100 block of 22nd Avenue, Bellwood, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding at 8:51 p.m. May 16.

Oscar Gomez-Flores, 36, of the 4100 block of West George Street, Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, driving without insurance, failing to signal and failing to wear a seat belt at 11:27 a.m. May 17.

John Messino, 41, of the 200 block of East North End Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with aggravated driving with a revoked license, driving without insurance and failing to wear a seat belt at 6:26 p.m. May 18.

Kehinde Akintola, 29, of the 500 block of North Virginia Avenue, Glenwood, was charged with driving with a revoked license, speeding, driving without insurance and improper lighting at 10:42 p.m. May 18.
